Europa's Dryad
AN INTERACTIVE ENVIRONMENTAL EXPERIENCE
THE PROJECT
SENIOR THESIS
“Peregrine wakes, alone, on the edge of a river between a barren landscape and lush forest. Delve into the forest as Peregrine and discover the fantastical lands and creatures that now surround you.”
The purpose of this collaborative project is to learn how to produce a video game level using Unreal Engine. The game focuses mainly on the mechanics of a simply exploratory level featuring a third-person player character that can be controlled using simple commands. The level features a large, open-world style map of a forest with a number of unusual non-playable creatures the player can encounter.

ABOUT
Caitlin “North” Cook is a Colorado native and has loved various forms of animation since they were a kid. While it did take them a while to look into digital animation, they have always spent their days drawing and teaching themselves about art. Once they reached College, they took one step into the Digital Animation Program and knew that it was what they wanted to do for the rest of their life. As a graduating senior, they have expanded their craft into video games and learning how the different ways digital animation can be applied in the industry and hope to one day make their own game to share with the world.
